Will He Catch Two Birds With One Stone?
Idol group TVXQ's U-Know Yunho has officially debuted as an actor in the drama business under the name Jung Yunho.

Jung Yunho has taken the role of passionate but lacking soccer player Cha Bong-goon in MBC's new Wednesday-Thursday series 'Heading to the Ground'.
Many are interested in his acting skills and his ability to raise ratings as he has been cast as the lead role in his first drama.
On September 2nd at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul, Yongsan-gu, a press conference for the drama was held in which a 20 minute video featuring the highlights of the drama were shown and showcased Jung Yunho's acting skills for the first time.
Jung Yunho, who plays the role of passionate youth Cha Bong-goon, showed everything from carefree expressions to lively soccer scenes. There was also a cute scene between him and Ara.
There were some awkward parts that were noticeable, but for his first drama, his acting skills were quite refined.
Regarding his first try at acting, Jung Yunho said, "Everything is new. I feel as though I am growing and maturing because of 'Heading to the Ground' and I'm having so much fun. With the actors cheering each other on, being a part of such a drama is not just an acting lesson, it is also a life lesson."
Regarding his acting, Jung Yunho said, "I'd give myself 50 out of 100. As the drama has not hit off yet, I think it would be conceited to go around saying that I'm a good actor. I find it absurd to rate my acting skills. I want to start at 0 and work my way up steadily."
Jung Yunho said, "I believe everything viewers say is attention for the drama but I do wish that viewers would give us love for the drama to do better even if they do criticize. If the criticism is for the better of 'Heading to the Ground', I will take it without any complaints."
Other actors who were there showed their trust for Actor Jung Yunho.
Director Park Sungsoo said, "Actually before casting started, I didn't know anything about TVXQ's Jung Yunho. After being with Jung Yunho, I was able to break the stereotypes set upon the group. As we shared stories of having to sleep in the Seoul subway station, I realized that Jung Yunho wasn't just Asia's Superstar and part of the best idol group, but he was a man who knew the sufferings of live. I'm very happy that he's with us."
Actor Lee Sang-yoon stated, "I did worry at first as I saw him as TVXQ's U-Know Yunho and not Jung Yunho. But as filming progressed, I began to know him better as Jung Yunho rather than U-Know Yunho and we've gotten pretty close. I now know how serious and dedicated he is about acting."
There is a lot of attention garnered towards Jung Yunho who has temporarily shed the title of TVXQ to be a rookie actor.

090910 HTTG Jung Yunho's Thorough Self-Sacrifice Captures The Attention Of Viewer
Jung Yunho, the idol of the youth, has thoroughly sacrificed his image for laughs as he switches from being a singer to being an actor.
Jung Yunho, who worked hard to keep his charismatic image as the leader of TVXQ, has shown a completely different side of him in his debut drama 'Heading to the Ground' as simple, stupid and hot-tempered Cha Bong-goon who dons a chicken suit and hat and dances comically.
In the second episode of 'Heading to the Ground' which aired on the 10th, he acted out an almost one-man show by wearing a chicken suit and hat and dancing in front of a chicken restaurant as well as by singing on the streets.
This thorough sacrifice of image is receiving positive feedback from viewers. Viewers sated that, "Jung Yunho, who always looked so cool and suave, is cute when he lets go of his former image," "Jung Yunho's transformation is refreshing," and "He's going down the same road as Eric. I think he will succeed as an actor."
But there are still thoughts that there is too much strength going into his acting. As it is his first attempt at acting, he has still not grasped controlling the strong and weak parts in his acting. There are critiques who say is lacking 2% when it comes to emotional scenes.
In this episode, Jung Yunho takes his sister Byul-i to the hospital because she collapses. Byul-i starts to cry and tell him, "You're not playing soccer because of me. I don't want to be baggage. Start playing again." Jung Yunho had tears in his eyes as he said, "No, that's not true. Why would you say that?" He also acted out scenes in which he was deeply debating whether he should return to playing soccer or not.
Viewers stated, "I think he's still a bit lacking in emotional scenes, but I want to see how he progresses every episode," "Although there are some awkward parts, he is more stable than he was in the first episode."
